Just ordered the new score board from Crafters Companion. Was going to order it from Create & Craft, the board, CD & card stock multibuy package + p&p - 10% club discount, but then thought i've already ordered the NEW printed A3 card (all 3 sets from Crafters Companion) & the 16x16 inch snow white centura pearl card so i don't really need the card in the multibuy (want it, but don't need as i've still got some left). So ordered it from Crafters Companion with free p&p. Loving there birthday week celebrations.

Hi, I treated myself to the pick of the day on Create & Craft on Tuesday the big & original bow maker with the dvd. Can't wait for it to arrive I've looked at e-mails & it's left the warehouse so should be here anytime now. I've been looking at this since it first came out, but i already have Crafters Companion Ultimate Pro which has a bow maker on it & a little bow maker that i got free with a crafting magazine. So i kept asking myself do i really need another one & the answer is yes. I do love & use both my other bow makers, but to use Crafters Companion's i have to get the whole Ultimate pro out & though the other is small i find that i need to secure it down as when you tie the bow if it's not secured down it moves to much.
Now i need to finish sorting my ribbon out. I found a good way of storing all the little bits we all seem to accumulate on pinterest, you wrap it around a lolly stick or the bigger ones beauticians use for waxing. So i went through my beauty stash & found mine & gave it a go. She stored hers in a jar when done, but at the moment mine are in a bag. I think i'm going get another A5 clear box to store mine in. I'll post a photo when it's all done.
I'm also sorting out all my fabric & yarn at the moment, not that i have that much. I put my fabric in one of those under bed storage bags, but it's not a very good one & has ripped already, one of the handles ripped off so this weekend going to buy a different one. The one with the yarn in is fine, so think i'll buy that make for my fabric. I'll post a photo of that as well when done.

I'm really not very good at all this blogging stuff. I feel that my makes & things that i do (not that i do much) are very good or interesting & nobody would be interested in seeing & reading about them. I did make a few things over the summer, but not much has I've not been to good with my health but I'm not going to bore you with that.
We did go down London for the weekend for my birthday in June, myself, hubby & daughters. We had a great time, we went on a river cruise, the London eye which i really enjoyed & shopping in Covent garden. While we were in one of the shops there we heard a lot of horns blowing & people cheering so not knowing what was going off we went over to one of the windows & there was a procession of naked people on bikes, skateboards, walking or running going past. It must of gone on for over a mile. Some of them had tops on & some had underwear (well almost underwear), but most had nothing but some body paint. Apparently it was national naked day (Of all the weekends people go down there we went on national naked day. You would of thought i had planned it that way, but i didn't plan any of it my husband & daughters planed it for me).

What i have been up to is some crocheting & card making. I've made my mum a little blanket to go over her knees when she's out & about on her mobility scooter for when the colder weather is here (which is now as it's cold & wet at the moment). I made a blanket for one of my daughters to go on her bed. I also made a bigger one for my dad as he gets really warm in the summer & he can sleep with just his blanket & when not in use it can be folded up & laid over the bottom of there bed, but then again it can also be used in the winter for some extra warmth. Then this month i made a card for my mum & dads 51st wedding anniversary. I also made a draw box with an easel card on the top (from Hunkydory) for one of my best friends 50th birthday later this year.
My hubby & myself also made some pen storage for my Spectrum noir pens. My hubby got some plastic boxes from work. He sawed one in half just below the shelf & then he sawed a lid into strips which we used for the shelves & middle supports. We glued them into the box using hot glue. I then covered the box using some fabric paper i got from the works for £1.99 per roll. I used a patch work effect one to cover the outside of the box & the other one, it has little red apples on to cover just the front edges of the shelves. I then used the black Spectrum Noir pen to colour in the side edges of the shelves & also the front edge of the supports. I'm really really pleased with, it holds all of the pens & it is easy to move so i can use it at my craft table or if I'm having a bad day & stuck on the sofa i can have at my side & still do some crafting
Last week i treated myself to an overlocking (serger) machine. It was one of Lidi's offers of the week. It's the Singer 14SH754. My hubby looked on there website & it's on there for £238 (on offer) was £289 i paid £129 for mine. When we went in we went straight to them, they had 5 machines left. Then we went a walk round & when we past them again just before paying they had ALL gone we were there for less than half an hour. One lady had two, she said there not both for me lol then she said i already have two at home ( I hope she meant two different ones). I also brought some overlocking yarn from there, it was about £1.75ish or 2 for £2 so i brought 4 white, 4 black, 2 grey, brown, tan & navy ( well i need some yarn to have a play with). They also had the Singer Brilliance for £99 with an extension table & some extra feet. If i hadn't already got a sewing machine i would of brought that as well. I know a lot of people have more than one machine, but i don't do all that much sewing. I do love it & i have quite a few projects on the go at the moment or in the pipe line (well in my head) so i couldn't justify having another machine.
I'm just about to start my christmas cards (i know I'm a bit late), but every time I'm about to start them something seems to pop up. But ah ho as long as there done in time.
Here are some photos of what I've been up to. Sorry but there are none of the naked procession.

Hope you like it please let me know.

This week i made some more crochet boxes for one of my daughters friends. She like the ones i had made for them & asked if i would make one for her. This time i put a fabric liner in them & i also decided to put one in the the ones i made last time as well. The reason i added the liner is i thought it would help when you put stuff in them because it wouldn't fall through. I got the tutorial from Crochet Geek off you tube, but i did mine a little different. I hope you like them please tell what you think.

This week i made this bag for my youngest daughters prom next month. I used Gourmet Quilter tutorial (Making a pocket bag from two fat quarters) but instead i brought some fabric to go with my daughters prom dress. It has a main pocket & two small ones, one either side of the main. I also put some pearls down one side of the outside pockets to co-inside with the prom dress. Hope you like it please let me know what you think.

My latest creations are these two crochet boxes. The smallest is about 5 x 5" & the biggest is about 6 x 6". I made these because on our latest visit to Ikea, there they had some that looked as if they were made out of fritter (sorry not sure how you spell it) & my mum said one of these would be good for my youngest to use down her house to put her make-up e.c.t in. So i came home went on you tube & found a tutorial by Crochet Geek. I did do mine a little different to her's but watching her tutorial help. Please let me know what you think & if you have a look at Crochet Geek on you tube or make one of your own.
This is one inside the other. Here they are side by side.

I saw a video on you tube by pinksofoxy, where she had made a draw liner for her to put her make-up in. so i thought i would give it a go & do one of my own, & like her i used pink & black fabric as i think they go well together. Here is my own draw liner, please let me know what you think & if you have a go yourself please post some photos. Do go over to pinksofoxy on you tube & have a look at hers. .

Hi everyone, hope your all having a great day. I haven't been been on here for a long time, in fact i think this is the first time this year. I was hoping this year was going to be better than last health wise, but the beginning of the year didn't start off very well. I ended last year with a bad cold, was ok over christmas then woke new years day & was worse than before. Then when i got over that it was one thing after another. One good thing to come out of it was that i taught myself to crochet because it was one thing i could do hold out on the sofa. One day i was having a good day so my hubby took me out for a drive & we nipped into a local Aldi. In there they had these books, one about teaching yourself to crochet another teaching yourself patchwork & one about sewing, they did have others as well but these were the only ones i wanted. So i got them & A big ball of wool from there, came home started reading & playing ( I had a hook at home that I'd got free with a magazine). Then i went on you tube & looked at some videos on there & with know time i had mad a couple of snoods, Then i was making snoods for other people & i made a basket to put my wool & hooks in as i got some other sizes. Then my girls wanted a beanie to go with there snoods & then i made some finger-less mittens so phones could still be used. Here's a photo of a few of the snoods i have made.
The problem I've got now is i can't seem to find my mojo, i want to get back in to my crafting (well paper crafting ) but i just can't seem to get going. I had some great stuff for christmas & since. I've got idea's going round my head but i just can't get going. My youngest daughter has got her prom in June & I've found this lovely bag tutorial on you tube. I've got the fabric for it so that's one thing i must start soon.
